Refund Policy

Clear terms on cancellations, transfers, and refund eligibility for your TCCA course registration.

Questions about a refund or transfer? Email info@tricountycareer.com or call 760-385-3633.

Students may request a refund up to 48 hours before their scheduled class start time.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method, less any actual, nonrefundable payment-processing fees charged by PayPal, Stripe, or the registration platform.

TCCA does not charge additional cancellation or administrative fees.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing before the 48-hour deadline.

Refunds are not available under the following circumstances:

  • The cancellation request is received less than 48 hours before the scheduled class start time.
  • The class has already started or been completed.
  • The student fails to attend without providing advance notice.
  • The student has already completed the training and received the applicable certificate or credential.
  • A clearly disclosed course-specific policy applies.

Students who are no longer eligible for a refund may request a class transfer under the conditions outlined below.

TCCA understands that schedules can change, particularly for military personnel who may receive unexpected orders, deployments, mission assignments, or other military obligations.

Students who are unable to attend their scheduled class may request a transfer to another available class date.

Transfer conditions:

  • Unlimited Transfers: Students may transfer their registration as often as necessary. There is no limit on the number of transfers.
  • No Transfer Fees: TCCA does not charge additional fees for transferring to another class date.
  • Advance Notice: Transfer requests must be submitted before the originally scheduled class begins.
  • Within 48 Hours: Students who are within 48 hours of their scheduled class start time may request a transfer instead of a refund.
  • Class Availability: Transfers are subject to sufficient available seating in the requested class and TCCA approval.
  • Tuition Differences: If transferring to a different course with a higher tuition rate, the student is responsible for paying the difference.
  • Military Accommodations: TCCA will make reasonable efforts to accommodate unexpected military duty changes, including deployments, mission assignments, and schedule changes.
  • No-Shows: Students who fail to attend without notifying TCCA before class begins are not automatically eligible for a transfer.

Students should contact TCCA as soon as they know they cannot attend their scheduled class.

Students are expected to attend all scheduled class hours, follow virtual or in-person class requirements, follow instructor directions and class policies, and complete any required assignments or assessments. Failure to meet attendance or completion requirements may affect certificate or credential issuance. Disruptive or dishonest conduct (e.g., academic dishonesty) may result in dismissal without refund.

All refund and transfer requests must be submitted in writing to:

Email: info@tricountycareer.com

Phone: 760-385-3633

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • Course name
  • Scheduled class date
  • Reason for the refund or transfer request
  • Preferred future class date, if requesting a transfer

Refund eligibility is determined by when TCCA receives the written request.

TCCA aims to respond to requests within two business days.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 3–7 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank, credit card company, or payment provider. TCCA is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions after the refund has been processed.

Some courses — particularly those with limited enrollment, specialized materials, or federal/contractor requirements (such as USACE EM 385-1-1) — may carry additional or different cancellation terms. Where a course-specific policy is presented at registration, that policy takes precedence over the general policy outlined above. Contact us if you’d like to confirm the terms for a specific course before registering.

If TCCA cancels or reschedules a class due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, or other circumstances, registered students will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.

Students will be offered their choice of:

  • A full refund of the tuition and fees paid to TCCA, including amounts otherwise retained for payment processing; or
  • A transfer to another available class date at no additional transfer fee.

The choice will be subject to applicable law and any additional rights provided to students.
